In the non addict section carbonated beverages are the second most absorbed beverages after water.

The utilization of soft drinks has increased by $ 137 billion since the year 2008 and by the year 2015 the soft drink industry is expected to be worth $ 309 billion. Despite the economic downturn the demand for carbonated beverages have not bogged down down. At present US is the greatest market for carbonated beverages but it is soon expected that Japan defeat itself to the number one place due to the rise in the sales. Currently the competitors in the market are heating up due to the different and numerous manufacturers in this market but leading the competitors is Coke and cola. Customer flavor performs an important role in this section and due to the ever changing needs of the customer the producers have to figure out ways to keep up with it. Another part is the cost change, it is seen that with the fall in prices the demand for soft drinks have increased.

Soft drinks more or less do not contain alcohol but the highest amount permitted is 0.5 percent.

The most difficult clients are the health conscious audience who prefer to avoid soft drinks beverages due to its sugar contents and other element which tend to be very harmful for the human body. A significant debate around this section is the biggest way to kill pests content found in both Coke and cola in Indian. The issue had such strong effect that some declares desired to ban the selling of such beverages but due to Govt disapproval these actions were not performed.
